MeteoTrace – Zásady ochrany soukromí

Krátce: MeteoTrace nemá účty, reklamy ani sledovací a analytické nástroje. Polohu a místa, na která se díváš, potřebuje jen k tomu, aby ti ukázala počasí. Neukládáme je, nevedeme o tobě záznamy a nikomu je neprodáváme.
Co zůstává jen ve tvém zařízení
- uložená místa a trasy,
- rozepsaná trasa včetně naplánovaného času odjezdu,
- nastavení (jazyk, jednotky, vzhled, výchozí obrazovka),
- nastavení upozornění a seznam výstrah, o kterých už appka upozornila,
- poslední zjištěná poloha, pro kterou chodí ranní a večerní zpráva (jen když ji zapneš).
Tato data nikam neodesíláme a nemáme k nim přístup.
Co appka posílá na náš server a proč
Aby appka ukázala počasí, musí se zeptat na data. Ptá se našeho serveru
na adrese meteotrace.com (hostuje ho Netlify) a ten teprve oslovuje zdroje dat.
Posílá se jen to, bez čeho odpověď nejde:

Server o tobě nevede záznamy. Odpovědi si krátce drží v paměti, aby se tatáž data nestahovala znovu — bez vazby na to, kdo se ptal. Tvou IP adresu drží v paměti jen chvíli kvůli ochraně proti přetížení; když někdo překročí limit dotazů, zapíše se jeho IP adresa do provozního záznamu, který poskytovatel hostingu po omezené době sám maže. Netlify jako poskytovatel hostingu zpracovává provozní údaje podle vlastních zásad.
Komu server data předá
Tyto služby dostávají dotaz od našeho serveru, takže nevidí tvou IP adresu:
- Open-Meteo — souřadnice, pro předpověď a pyl,
- openrouteservice / HeiGIT — souřadnice trasy a text hledání, pro výpočet trasy a hledání míst; u místa v zahraničí i jeho souřadnice, aby se zjistilo jeho jméno,
- ČHMÚ a MeteoAlarm — žádná tvoje data; výstrahy i předpověď srážek se stahují společné pro všechny a výběr pro tvé místo dělá náš server,
- RainViewer — žádná tvoje data; jen seznam radarových snímků.
Co jde přímo z tvého zařízení
Jedinou výjimkou jsou obrázky mapy: podkladová mapa se načítá z úložiště Cloudflare R2 a radarové snímky od RainViewer. Stejně jako u každého obrázku z internetu tyto služby vidí tvou IP adresu a to, který výřez mapy se načítá.
Oprávnění appky v Androidu
- Poloha (přibližná i přesná) — zjišťuje se, když appku používáš: po klepnutí na ⌖, při zadání startu trasy z polohy nebo při hledání nejbližšího místa. Appka polohu nezjišťuje na pozadí. Poslední zjištěnou polohu si pamatuje v telefonu, aby ranní a večerní zpráva šla pro místo, kde jsi byl naposledy.
- Upozornění — výstrahy před nebezpečným počasím a ranní a večerní zpráva. Jsou vypnutá, dokud je nezapneš. Když je zapneš, appka i při zavřené aplikaci pravidelně posílá na náš server souřadnice hlídaných míst (nejvýš pěti), aby zjistila, jestli je o čem upozornit.
- Spuštění po restartu telefonu — aby zapnutá upozornění po restartu nepřestala chodit.
- Internet — pro počasí, mapu a trasy.
Dar
Appka je zdarma a dar nic neodemyká. Platba probíhá mimo appku (bankovní převod, Revolut, PayPal) a appka při ní nic nesbírá. Vidíme jen to, co banka ukáže u příchozí platby.
Jak data smazat
Uložená místa a trasy smažeš ve správě míst a tras. Všechno ostatní smažeš odinstalováním appky nebo vymazáním jejích dat v nastavení Androidu (na webu vymazáním dat stránky v prohlížeči). Na serveru o tobě nic uložené není, takže není co mazat.
Změny
Když se změní, jaká data appka používá, upravíme tuto stránku a datum nahoře.

MeteoTrace – Privacy Policy

In short: MeteoTrace has no accounts, no ads and no tracking or analytics tools. It needs your location and the places you look at only to show you the weather. We do not store them, keep no records about you and never sell them.
What stays on your device only
- saved places and routes,
- the route you are working on, including a scheduled departure time,
- settings (language, units, theme, start screen),
- notification settings and the list of warnings you have already been notified about,
- your last known location used for the morning and evening report (only if you turn it on).
We do not transmit this data anywhere and have no access to it.
What the app sends to our server, and why
To show the weather, the app has to ask for data. It asks our server at
meteotrace.com (hosted by Netlify), which then contacts the data sources.
Only what is needed for an answer is sent:
| Coordinates of a place | forecast, pollen, warnings, precipitation radar. For your phone's location, as precise as the phone reports it. |

| Text you type into search | finding a place or address; the coordinates of the place you search from are added to sort the results. |
| App language | so that answers come in your language. |
The server keeps no records about you. It briefly holds answers in memory so the same data is not downloaded again — with no link to who asked. It holds your IP address in memory only briefly to protect against overload; if someone exceeds the request limit, their IP address is written to an operational log that the hosting provider deletes automatically after a limited time. Netlify, as the hosting provider, processes operational data under its own policy.
Who the server passes data to
These services receive requests from our server, so they do not see your IP address:
- Open-Meteo — coordinates, for the forecast and pollen,
- openrouteservice / HeiGIT — route coordinates and search text, for routing and place search; for a place abroad also its coordinates, to find out its name,
- ČHMÚ (Czech Hydrometeorological Institute) and MeteoAlarm — none of your data; warnings and the precipitation forecast are downloaded once for everyone and our server picks what applies to your place,
- RainViewer — none of your data; only the list of radar images.
What goes directly from your device
The only exception are map images: the base map is loaded from Cloudflare R2 storage and radar images from RainViewer. As with any image on the internet, these services see your IP address and which part of the map is being loaded.
Android app permissions
- Location (approximate and precise) — determined while you use the app: when you tap ⌖, set a route start from your location, or look for the nearest place. The app does not access location in the background. It remembers the last known location on your phone so the morning and evening report is for where you last were.
- Notifications — warnings about dangerous weather and the morning and evening report. They are off until you turn them on. Once on, the app periodically sends the coordinates of the watched places (up to five) to our server, even when the app is closed, to check whether there is anything to notify you about.
- Run at startup — so notifications you turned on keep working after a restart.
- Internet — for the weather, map and routes.
Donations
The app is free and a donation unlocks nothing. Payment happens outside the app (bank transfer, Revolut, PayPal) and the app collects nothing during it. We only see what the bank shows for an incoming payment.
Deleting your data
Delete saved places and routes in the places and routes manager. Delete everything else by uninstalling the app or clearing its data in Android settings (on the web, by clearing the site's data in your browser). Nothing about you is stored on the server, so there is nothing to delete there.
Changes
If the data the app uses changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
